Moto Cross

Returned to MX Academy today for another look at the course, having heard they could be some quad bikes running.

It was a foggy morning; the light was nicely dispersed, but the distance was going to be a bit of a challenge - I late got over this problem with the dehaze tool in Adobe Light-room.

Photoshop - "Out of bounds"

Following last weekends photo-shoot at a moto cross practice track, I had an idea to do a bit of fancy editing.

Not a bad effort, and now I know the basics, I'm sure future attempts will have many improvements.

If you're intrigued, search for "out of bound" or "out of frame" photo editing - there are many tutorials on Youtube,

New Facebook Page

I hope to maintain this blog a little more frequently and rather than clog it up with loads of event photos, I hope to showcase a select few and may expand a little on why I like them and perhaps how they were taken and edited.

Event photos will then be found in Albums over at www.facebook.com/Loz.Pics

Moto Cross

MX Academy was a new venue to try out and being only a 15 minute drive from home, could potentially be my venue to visit if I had nothing else planned - with the added bonus of a butty wagon.

The staff were very welcoming and having signed on, was permitted to venture infield.

There are two courses here: a 6 foot deep sand track and the dirt track. The sand, being elevated allows the photographer to get "under" the track level for those up-into-the face type shots. The dirt track had some good photographic vantage points, but I'm sure a return visit will reveal some more.

A good photo session, made even better by the friendly riders and crews.
