Arriving at Lake Vyrnwy, the road around he reservoir was closed (due to fallen trees) so I made the best of it (with a flask of coffee and a few sandwiches):

Wales - in the snow
It's a long slog from the Christmas break to Easter, so I could not wait to get away. However the UK had once again been hit by heavy snow, causing a lot of travel disruption, but it should of cleared up after a week, right.

Border Collie in the snow
Some time ago, I offered to take some photos of my Sisters dog. For some reason I suggested we get together on 24/03/2013 (in 8" of snow) for the shoot. Well worth it though.

Starling Murmuration
I'd seen television footage (BBC' Spring Watch) of starling murmurations and heard that one such location is Aberwystwyth pier in Wales.
To make a bit of a day trip out of the journey I stopped of at Pistyl Raeadr waterfall (as I'd not seen it before) on the way.
En route to the coast, I wondered what to expect. Having parked up on the sea front, I made my way to the pier. There were many people about, some with cameras - things were looking encouraging.
Sure enough, the Starlings began to gather and murmur:
